The 5 bedroom house is situated just outside of Beziers and is set in approx. 5 acres with a lovely park in the front and a large garden at the back with a pool. It is surrounded by vineyards with the Cevennes Mountains in the background. The house dates back to the 18th Century and is built in the old Languedoc style.

The property is very quiet and all one can hear are the birds yet Beziers, with a population of 85,000, is 5 minutes away. Beziers is an old town, which is not overrun by tourists in the summertime and mainly inhabited by the French. The Mediterranean is 10 minutes away and the Black Mountains 25 minutes. Montpellier can be reached in 40 minutes and the Camargue and the Provence are close by. The area also has many historic sites worth visiting and I can recommend the book 'Wonderful Languedoc-Roussillon' by Alan Dag Naud, Editions Ouest France.
The house has five double bedrooms: four on two separate floors with shower, basin and WC on each floor, two with double bed and two with two single beds and one separate sleeping area straight off the living room with a separate corridor, one double bedroom with 6ft bed, bathroom with a bath and shower and separate WC. There is also a shower in the pool house. The main house, being built on several levels, allows for privacy. The garden is lit up in the evening.
The living room and dining area is large (85sqm)and the kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, two ovens, two fridges, four gas hobs and two electric hobs. There is a barbecue on the terrace. One can eat outside on two terraces, with one in the sun and one in the shade. The house is in the local, country style and in Provencal colours. It will be cleaned once a week and the beds are made in arrival. Fresh sheets will be supplied after two weeks for those who stay three weeks or more and sheets can be hired at FF80 per pair. You need to bring towels and particularly large ones to put on the pool mattresses and deckchairs.
