| Caunes-Minervois is a peaceful village with a 12th Century Abbey, a short drive away from Carcassonne. This house has been restored to a very high standard and is set on the ancient ramparts, close to the Abbey. Behind it, the Black Mountains rise gently. Ahead are the Corbieres and the Pyrenees. Caunes-Minervois has two restaurants, a couple of cafes, and a river through the middle of it. From the back door you can stroll into the Black Mountains. They offer uncrowded walking, cycling & horse riding. There are Cathar Castles at Las Tours. The Canal du Midi is close by. Spain and the Mediterranean are about an hour away. The property is ideal for from 2-4 people. |
