| Visitor's can meet around the pool where the atmosphere is cosmopolitan & friendly. Solymar's well maintained building, with its bright yellow canopies, is 5 storeys high ... high rises are not permitted in Altea. The yacht club opposite has a waterside cafe and harbour view restaurant. 2 beaches meet here - to the right stretches the long arm of Albir Beach with crystal waters, surfing and sailing; - to the left Altea Beach with playground, beach tennis and local folk. The nearby Esplanade is perfect for sea strolling and abounds with cafes and restaurants. Altea's brilliant Tuesday market takes place here where real bargains are to be had. The station, bus, supermarket and bank are a short walk away. |
