The house has two patios. The smaller one, right off the kitchen, has mountain views and is very private. You step out through the french doors in the living room onto the larger patio which is perfect for viewing sunsets and the sea below. The garden has several old olive trees as well as mulberries, fig, pear, lemon, grapefruit, pomegranate, and banana trees. Prickly pear cactus and oleander line the garden walls. The front entrance is shaded by a pergola where both jasmine and grapevine meet.

Lefktron is a small village occupying the hill above Stoupa. In the 1970s it was comprised of about 25 houses, most of them abandoned. There was no road, nor electricity and running water. Then, visitors came, bought and restored the houses to a high standard. The Greek owners soon followed suit. New houses were added following the Mani style. Today, Lefktron is an exceptionally charming village with owners from all over the world.

The Mani Peninsula is considered one of the most beautiful areas of Greece. It combines majestic mountains with crystal clear seas. It is dotted with numerous stone villages many of which contain the famous Mani tower houses. Mani has remained unspoiled mainly because it was off the beaten path during the 80s when the big wave of tourism came to Greece. The Tayegetos Mountain Range protects the area of Stoupa from the cold north winds. It is open to the warm moist winds from Africa, so it has one of the mildest winter climates on continental Europe. Because of this, it is ideal for off season visits, or over wintering. If you plan a stay of more than 2 weeks, you are sure to have warm sunny days in which to hike and enjoy the breathtaking scenery and countless wild flowers that can be found everywhere.
