The villa(s)is/are free standing, in a garden, on a hill overlooking the spectacular Datca Bay/Mediterranean, walking distance (<500 meters) downhill to beaches, restaurants, shops and marina. Three bedrooms and two baths. Island of Simi/Sömbeki opposite views to Bozburun bay and Rhodos mountains. Pristine nature & history all around the peninsula, including the famous ancient city of Cnidus/Knidos (many rank it along with Ephesus & Aphrodisias) at the end of the Datca peninsula. | Datca town is located on the Datca peninsula (80 Kms long),an outstanding classified Natural Nature Reserve because of its abundance of indigenous plants (huge forests, wild flowers including orchids, wild boars, mountain goats,....). The peninsula has more than 12 million trees with around only ten thousand indigenous inhabitants. Datca town is the main town and has a population of 5000 and the other 12 small villages on the peninsula add up to another 5000. The villa(s) are very close (500 meters) to center of town but in a quiet residential area on a hill overlooking the Mediterranean. The peninsula has many natural water sources including unique hot water sources one of which forms a large pool just off one of Datca town beaches. The pool is 30-35 degrees C even in the winter.

Owners notes

There are frequent buses to Marmaris, Fethiye, Dalyan, Izmir etc.and in season daily ferry boats from Gokova Bay to Bodrum. Fast boat services to Greek islands (Simi/Sombeki, Rhodos) are available in season. Jeep safaris can be arranged on request through the many pine and eucalyptus forests. There are Friday and Saturday markets 100 metres from the villa.
Mid-week (or more) maid service can be provided at additional cost. Car, jeep, boats with or w/o crew, scooter, bicycle rental can be arranged. 200 Euro refundable deposit to cover telephone, utility (electric/gas) costs. The reservation deposit and other payments can be made by most credit cards (Visa, MasterCard,..) at PayPal.com or we can provide Euro, USD/$ bank accounts.

Datca Peninsula is known for its healthy weather (locals regularly attain ages above 90), flora and fauna. More than 2000 years ago, Greek Geographer/historian Strabo has written: 'Gods place their favourite subjects in Cnidus/Datca' an inscription whose original can be seen at the Knidos/Cnidus site. Humidity is rarely above 50/60% and ever present breezes are especially nice in hot summer months. There is also a unique natural mineral hot water pool (~5000 m2 large) at the Taslik beach (700m from the villa), formed by natural warm water from the base of a mountain/hill. The pool is at ~30-35 c (85 – 95 F) even in winter. Warm water pours into the Mediterranean at the rate of about 3 tons per min from a small waterfall.
