Villa Ra is set in the quiet and exclusive San Jaime area of Moraira on the side of a valley with lovely sea and hill views. The very private pool and terrace are not overlooked at all. Spacious open-plan living area, American kitchen, large glazed naya and sitting room all share the same lovely views. Twin bedroom and shower room on the ground floor. Upstairs is the master bedroom with balcony, another twin bedroom and newly furnished bathroom. Outside there is also a purpose-built barbecue area and orchard garden. There is a supermarket close-by and bar/restaurants within walking distance.

The beautiful 9-hole Moraira golf-course with poolside bar/restaurant and magical views down to the sea is open to non-members and is within walking distance of the villa, with the popular 18-hole course at Jesus Pobre and the 9-hole course at Javea about 15 minutes away by car. A short drive will take you to the coastal resorts of Javea (15 mins. by car) with its beautiful sandy horse-shoe bay bordered by beach bars and restaurants, Denia with its long, sandy beach and pretty Calpe in the other direction. The local wine-making area of the Jalon valley, surrounded by mountains is also about 20 mins. drive away, and from here you can venture further into the spectacular mountain scenery - perfect for those who enjoy walking, cycling or climbing. Moraira is only 45 minutes drive from the livelier Benidorm which is close to Terra Mitica (a Disney style theme park) and Aqualandia Water Park

Villa Ra has many different sitting and living areas, both inside and outside, affording space and privacy for larger parties and just a change of scene for smaller ones. Two sets of doors lead directly from the Naya (Sunroom) onto both the Pool Terrace and the Dining Patio, and there are further double doors onto the Patio from the Sitting Room. With all doors open the villa benefits from cooling hillside breezes and, whilst bedrooms and shower room have mosquito netting, Villa Ra doesn't have much trouble with these nuisances. All rooms have either ceiling, wall-mounted or free-standing fans. A comfortable and easily-operated sofabed has its own linen compartment, making it simple to convert each day, or alternatively, the Sitting Room can effectively become Bedroom 4 if required, with plenty of living space still remaining. Central heating is available should you book a holiday during the cooler months, and this is normally included in the rental.

The sun shines all day onto the pool area, and it is still there for sundowners in the early evening! However, if you're looking for shade, you will find it in the barbecue area or down in the orchard garden . . and the house is shaded by electrically operated awnings too. Whilst we have an indoor dining area it isn't wanted much in warmer weather, so we provide two large tables and plenty of chairs for dining outside, together with several sun loungers and parasols. Sit under a sunshade having drinks by the pool overlooking the valley, and pick your own lemons for those drinks straight from the lemon trees! We have a carport with a securely locking door and there is plenty of space for parking in the quiet road outside the walls of the villa. The journey from Alicante/Valencia airports takes just over an hour. We have details of a good taxi service, but car-hire is recommended with this villa, and we can help with that too.

Green countryside dotted with individual white-washed villas, shady pine woods, citrus groves and vine terracing make a pretty and relaxing setting away from the package tour crowds. Moraira is an attractive resort which retains its local charm. There are 2 safe, sandy beaches with beach-bars, and numerous little rocky coves up and down the coast. It has grown from a small fishing village into an attractive holiday resort whilst managing to hold onto much of its authenticity . . . partly due to the busy fish market with catches brought in fresh each day by the fishing fleet. There is an abundance of restaurants, bars and smart little shops which crowd around the harbour and marina and then meander on down the coast road. San Jaime is on the borders of Moraira - a couple of minutes outside Town - and, whilst benefiting from a peaceful location, it also has the best Supermarket in the area. The fresh meat and fish sections, Delicatessen and Cake Counters are all superb.
