More Local Information
The house is made up of two parts: the original farmhouse and the newly converted barn area. Between the two lies the kitchen. The lay out of the house makes it an ideal place for two families (or two generations) to be close but not too close! The long summer evenings allow great outdoor dining. Inside there are three dining areas and two lounge areas. You can buy produce from the local farmers including wine, Armagnac and foie gras. If you don’t want to dine in then there are many good local restaurants. The large cosmopolitan city of Toulouse is only a 90-minute drive. The smaller historical and sophisticated town of Pau is only 50 minutes away. Mediaeval chateaux and hill fort towns abound, often holding crafts and art exhibitions and torch lit evening banquets. The world famous Marciac Jazz festival is only 30 minutes away.
