Le Stalle has featured in two good homes magazines and was our family home till recently. Unlike many rental villas it has kept it's warm family feel. The walls are full of origional artwork and old photographs. Books are everywhere with two separate libraries. The soft furnishings invite you to relax and make you feel truly at home from when you step over the threshold. The simple, traditional design maximises the origional features and gives a spacious, airy feel to the rooms. The large kitchen allows for whole family involvment in the cooking.Sleep comes easily in the country fresh air. The traditional village just a short walk away makes you feel you are truly in the 'Real'Italy.

WHAT TO DO HERE? Guests enjoy diverse things. Swimming and relaxing by the pool. Reading and relaxing in the house or many outdoor quiet areas. Shopping for simple and gourmet ingredients and cooking the tasty Italian fayre in the spacious kitchen of the villa/farmhouse before dining indoors in the arched dining area or al fresco under the pergola/terrace enjoying the beautiful views. There are many famous hillsdie towns to visit, museums and sites to see.

Poggio Le Stalle is a country retreat. The air quality is assured by the location and forest which provides the backdrop to the villa/farmhouse. Each season offers different aspects. May/June are delightful months with the spring flowers, cuckoos, nightingales, owls and other songbirds competing for attention. Summer has hot days with cooler languid nights and festivities abound with medieval fests and eating sagras in Amelia and other villages. September sees the festa of the villagers of Macchie celebrating their traditions as woodcutters with games, local dancing and evening eating of specialities such as polenta and wild boar. Autumn is truly splendid at its peak.
