The property is ideally located on the quiet outskirts of the picturesque and unspoilt village of Kalkan, yet it's only a 10-15 minute walk to the centre & 15 minute walk to the nearest beach and delightful little harbour. A short drive or boat trip away are the beaches at Kaputas, which is dramatically set at the bottom of a gorge, and Patara, 18km of beautiful sand set in a nature reserve, where sea turtles lay their eggs. Both Kalkan and Kalamar Bays have excellent sandless 'beach' clubs, where you sunbathe in comfort and access the clean clear waters directly. Snack bar, toilets & showers are on site and water sports are available. Some offer a free one-way taxi service. Kalkan abounds with excellent restaurants (many with rooftop tables) to suit all tastes & budgets. Many excursions by land or sea depart from Kalkan.

Kalkan is excellent for families and couples, as there is so much to see and do. Watersports are readily available, as are a wide range of excursions. Visit the tombs and take a mud bath in the Dalyan Delta; how about a jeep safari into the mountains?; boat trips to visit the sunken city of Kekova or to go scuba diving; haggle in the huge market at Fethiye; see traditional carpet weaving at the factory; all day canoe trip down the Xanthos river to Patara Beach.

The weather is fantastic in Kalkan. Most rain falls during the off-season, allowing for gorgeous hot, sunny weather the rest of the time. Our villa-wide airconditioning & private pool means you can cool off when you need to. The shaded ottoman area on the roof terrace is perfect for a siesta.

The people of Kalkan are so warm and welcoming. They will often offer you some tea as you browse in their shops and haggling over the price is expected. The restaurants offer freshly prepared food at reasonable prices. Some offer live music. Although the majority offer Turkish cuisine, there are places that offer a broader range of dishes. What you won't find is a McDonalds!
