Here’s a brief summary of the weekly deliveries:
Monday: Bread delivery (and every day except Sunday) at approx. 11.00am. Theres fresh rolls, hot loaves and foccaccio.
At around 3.00 pm there’s a van that can only be described as a “grocery store on wheels” selling everything from fruit, pasta, cheeses, fresh salami and other meats, water, juices, vegetables, soaps and toilet paper.
Tuesday: Another “grocery store on wheels” arrives around 3.00 pm selling much of the same wonderful produce as Monday’s arrival.
Wednesday: The Commune (City) runs a bus every Wednesday morning that takes the locals (and visitors of course) from Taponecco (Piazza) at 8.00 am to the nearby town of Licciana Nardi. It gives you plenty of time to get groceries or window shop, picking everyone back up at 11.00 am for the ride home. Licciana Nardi also has the closest ATM/Bancomat machine, several restaurants and cafes.

The Lunigiana Region: is still unbelievably relatively unknown by tourists. This is a rural region offering natural forests, mountains and rivers to explore. Visitors can swim in the cool mountain waters and enjoy the breath-taking views of torrents and gorges or hike on the many trials the region offers. There are nearby castles and caves and even natural mineral baths to visit.
