More Local Information

Fertile valleys coated in almond groves, craggy limestone peaks, dramatic ravines, panoramic ridges and colourful displays of lime-loving flowers in spring make the secret, sunny mountains of Valencia perfect for a week of rewarding walking.
The first weekend of May, Montichelvo celebrates the main festivity of the town in honour of the Virgen del Rosario, the Cristo del Perdón, the Divina Aurora and the Inmaculada Concepción. 5 days and 5 nights of processions, live music, communal gatherings and the odd firecracker!!
Every Tuesday in the village square, you can buy local produce (cheese, ham's, meats and vegetables) also clothing and housewares.
At the end of the street a wonderful little bakery to buy your early morning bread.

Valencia can be a region of clichés: the light, the moon, the gun-powder, the paella, the flowers, the fallas... they are keys which attempt to explain what words cannot tell. It is necessary to visit this area and get to know Valéncia to verify that centenary traditions live together with modernity; that sea and city are compatible; that the green colour of farms can be kept together with a modern urban scheme; that Valencia is unique at night and during the day.
|
The region of Valencia is getting more and more popular among tourists, not only because of its beautiful landscape area, the good weather and the nice beaches. During your stay you will find that there are a lot of different activities in which you could participate, whether you’re living there or just spending your holiday. People who like sports (indoor or outdoor) will feel right at home, as will those that like sailing, culture, dancing and the beach life. In short: there are so many things to do in Valencia, you won’t easily get bored, even if you tried!

The America's Cup in Europe has opened up countless new opportunities to the sailing world's pinnacle event.
Not least of which was a bid process to identify the Host City for the 32nd America's Cup.
Valencia, Spain's third city, won that bid for several reasons, among them the fantastically reliable sailing conditions generated by a regular sea breeze environment, as well as a commitment to build sufficient infrastructure to host the America's Cup at a level befitting one of the world's premiere events. Book early to avoid disappointment!
