Situated between the charming old port and the port of Casamiccola offers a good location for touring Ischia.There are many opportunities to enjoy thermal baths, along with a good choice of beaches. Both ports have a very good ferry service to visit/return to the mainland port of Naples, where you can visit Herculaneum and Naples itself. You can also visit Capri and islands nearby. There is also a good train service from Naples which will take you further south to allow visits to Pompei, Vesuvius and Sorrento. Trains are very good value. Flights are into Naples and the use of smaller car is a great advantage when driving around Ischia!
