More Local Information

The area is very Spanish and not spoilt by tourism. Not many of the local Spanish people speak English, so if you know a bit of the language it will help, if not they are good at sign language!! They are very welcoming and will help you all they can. The area is steeped in history on 'The Moors & Christians era' that backdates to the 14th century. There are some fantasic monuments and churches. Vineyards for miles and local Bodegas to taste the local wine, which I might add is very drinkable in large quantities. The surrounding mountains are beautiful to look at and climb for the more energetic.
Cycling is a favorite sport around the area. There are restaurants in the local towns, which are mainly Spanish, but there are some chinese restaurants around.
