| What looks like a tiny cottage in the photo is actually the top floor of a fairly large farmhouse built on the side of a hill. To the rear and on the lower level, lives the English speaking owner with her children, aged 20 and 22. The upper level, reserved for guests, enjoys great views, a furnished outdoor terrace and its own independent entrance.
Just ten minutes walk from the historic town in Siena province, surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, fruit and oak trees and with a comfortable patio-veranda for eating outside. |

Just half a mile away is Montepulciano with plenty of restaurants and shops.
Pienza is within a 15 minute drive. The Etruscan capital of Chiusi, with trains to Rome or Florence, is 20 minutes away by car; 30 from Cortona or Montalcino; 45 from Siena or Orvieto, an hour from Assisi or Florence and two and a half hours from Rome itself. The seaside is not far either.
