There is a wide variety of sporting facilities available locally including golf, tennis, water sports, diving, sailing, horse-riding etc. Within a short drive are many charming villages with their outside markets and wonderful local fresh produce and crafts. There is an abundance of excellent reasonably priced restaurants in the area, serving both traditional Spanish dishes and international cuisine. The Javea area enjoys the record for the highest hours of sunshine per year than any other place in Spain.
