Loule and the Vale do Lobo

In February, the Carnival of Loulé begins, usually four Saturdays before Shrove Tuesday. Three days of street merriment, you can expect people with masks dancing in the streets, sexy dancers, representation of the political figures and the humor are garantied.

In Easter, there is religious event of the Sovereign Mother, patron saint of the city of Loulé that atract people all over the Portugal. In May there is the Corn Festival in Salir (Loulé), with a procession of floats, followed by fireworks and folk dancing.

In July there is the Motoclube Faro Festival, the biggest motorcycle exposition in Europe. 3 days of bike shows, rock concerts with strip tease.

In July / August - there is the International Jazz Festival at Loulé. In August the Summer Carnival is one night of street merriment and animation in the centre of Loulé.
